George
J. Fantini, Jr. has
been active in real estate finance for more than 35 years. After
15 years as a lender at State Street Bank and BayBank, in 1981
Mr. Fantini established a highly successful mortgage banking operation
at the Boston Financial Group, one of the nation's leading real
estate investment banking firms. In 1995 he co-founded Fantini
& Gorga. Over the past three decades, Mr. Fantini has directly
supervised the successful completion of more than 500 transactions,
dealing with both debt and equity on a wide range of property
types.
At Fantini & Gorga,
Mr. Fantini is active in new business development and strategic
planning, while overseeing a range of financing transactions for
clients of the firm. He holds a BSA from Bentley College and an
MBA from Boston College. A noted speaker on industry trends, he
is the principal author of the Master Money Matrix © series.
Mr. Fantini has served as a director of the Massachusetts Housing
Finance Agency, Atlantic Bank, Northeast Savings, NAIOP, and the
Boston Financial Group; and he has been a trustee of Meditrust
and of Bentley College. In 1987, Mr. Fantini persuaded the Greater
Boston Real Estate Board to launch a separate division to deal
solely with real estate finance, and served as the founding president
of what is known today as the Real Estate Finance Association,
with over 2,000 members. In 1997 REFA honored him with the Robert
Swain, Jr. award for his distinguished contributions to the real
estate finance industry. |
